Zaffron represents the convergence of two of Grounded Genetics' most developed in-house lines, each built over years of selective breeding. The Zerberry mother traces back to work done 5 years ago with the Zunami - Original Zkittlez pollinated by the Gelato 41 x Sherb BX1 male that's become a cornerstone stud in Grounded's breeding program. From a large population, a phenotype was selected for its bag appeal from the 41 x Sherb BX1 lineage and a balanced terpene blend from both parents. That selection was then crossed with reversed RS11 pollen, and from the resulting progeny, an outlier was hunted specifically for its vibrant fruit and candy profile; that outlier became Zerberry.
On the paternal side, Peach Guava was developed through several generations of selection involving Pink Limez, Taco Colada, and Key Lime Guava. A line built specifically for outstanding resin production, washing potential, and an unmistakable exotic fruit nose. Together, these two breeding projects have produced a cross that delivers intense exotic fruit aromas layered with sweet candy, tropical guava, and creamy confectionery undertones, the kind of terpene profile, visual appeal, and resin output that serves both flower and hash applications equally.
